Enter the Dragon

January 29th, 2012

Chinese New Year is ALWAYS a time
to clean up your life and that means your
internal spiritual temple as well as your outer temple- your home.
I started getting it together weeks ago and I’ll
make sure it’s all done by February 4th.
This year, the cleansing process is even
more important as we are in a Yang Water Dragon year.
The emphasis of the year 2012, a Water
Dragon year is to gather the spiritual benefits
and clean out all of the cob webs in our personal
as well as our spiritual lives.
The rituals done this time of year are most
important for your health, wealth and happiness.
In China, you will see statues of Guan Yin, the
Goddess of Compassion, riding on a Water Dragon.
This might give us a clue to be more
compassionate in all that we do.
It’s important to clean out your closets of anything
you no longer use, get rid of all the clutter in
and around your house!

You also have to make sure that before February 4th,
you clean and renew all of the spiritual things in your life.
If you have spiritual statues, paintings,
amulets, books, and ritual objects, no matter what tradition, they all
need to be cleaned, polished, dusted off and
made ready for the year of the Water Dragon.
I will light incense around my house at every door.
This is a way to feed the spirit and I always make sure
that there are flowers in my house with fresh clean water.
I also put the traditional Chinese Red Welcome mats
at my door. Internal cleansing of the body is very
important at this time. I do skin brushing every morning
to cleanse and stimulate my skin which is one of the
largest detox organs in the body.
It’s important to do your own personal cleansing,
inside and out, at this time. Deep cleanse the surface
of your body. If you have access to hot tubs, saunas,
mineral or herbal bathes, this is the time to soak,
scrub and sweat out as much of the impurities as possible.
Be very clean on February 4th
(that’s the day ).
Wear only fresh clothes on February 3rd and 4th.
(The Dragon starts emerging in the evening of February 3rd).

I am definitely going to the Russian
Sauna to absorb the heat, jump in the cold plunges
and clean my body of toxins! I am even doing the
7 day Core Restore Program to clean out my liver,
remove all additional toxins from my diet and lifestyle.
This will REMOVE, RESTORE, and REVITALIZE
my entire system! It’s a way of gently cleansing my
body inside and out, and it only takes 7 days!

http://rechargingqigong.com/core-restore-detox-program.htm

I have a personal practice that is based on
ancient tradition that involves early morning meditations,
cleansing the house using epsom salts.
You can get the formula on my You Tube channel

Make this upcoming week a time of purifying your
body, mind and spirit. Eating pure foods at this time
is also VERY important. The Taoist Chinese say your
whole year’s fortune can depend on how you
enter the new year.

The Most Important Blood Work

October 18th, 2011

Examinations at a doctor’s office are important to
determine what a persons
health picture is all about, and I do some very
traditional ones as well as more esoteric tests
like Medical Qi Gong,Chakras testing and
Applied kinesiology to determine what
needs to be addressed first.

I’ll use the Chinese pause technique, look at the
tongue, and observe the quality of the skin, nails, hair.
I’ll go over every inch of the body, looking for
clues on how to open the blockage and I ask a
ton of questions to see what’s going on internally.

On the physical level from a scientific stand point
there is no general screening test
that is more efficient, effective and affordable
than a comprehensive blood chemistry panel.
It allows me to quickly assess what’s going
on with your health at a glance.
It is the ultimate tool in biomedical laboratory
sciences to evaluate patients.

Your blood test can be the answer to identifying
imbalances in the body’s metabolism. If you’re
healthy, you should get your blood work done at
least every year. I get mine done every six months
and have the two tests compared to see if there are
any changes for better or worse.

Things like diet, exercise, stress and illness
will show up. If you are going
through a health crisis,
I’d check every three months just
to stay on top of things.
Many health problems can be
prevented and
managed effectively with early
detection.

In general we are not up to date on what’s going on
inside and a blood test will show the function
of the immune system, thyroids and if you
have a tendency for any hidden illnesses it
can be a good way to get an early look.

The longevity system in the USA hardly exists.
We are on a program of:
‘If it isn’t broken, don’t fix’ it and the
insurance companies like it just the way it is.

A decade ago the average annual lab work
ordered in a physical exam included a
Chem-24, CBC with differentials, TSH, and
a lipid panel. However, the healthcare model
today customarily performs a simple chem-7
and lipid panel. The addition of a TSH, a CBC,
or other tests are no longer a routine.
Physicians who order extra tests are
considered unqualified providers.
Who do you think is judging them?
Whoever they are, it’s not about your
health and longevity or the quality of your life.

I understand that many of us have given up on
the current healthcare model and are sick and tired
of being over-medicated. Many of us are now
looking for a more natural approach.
A comprehensive healthcare evaluation
and blood chemistry panel is a good place to
start and get you back on the road to good health.

I wish you the best in your Health,
Wealth and Happiness

Colder than a Witch’s Teat

December 26th, 2010

Colder than a witches

Last week it was in the thirties in Florida and that’s really cold for
South Florida. I was talking to a friend who is in Michigan and he
said.
“It’s colder than a witches tit”.

That sounds really cold.
I looked the expression up. Here is what I found.

“The simple explanation is that “colder than a witch’s tit” is just a vivid metaphor, like “hotter than the hinges of hell.” Since a witch is in league with Satan, presumably she has no maternal feelings. Thus the medium by which she would suckle a child is, well, cold as a witch’s tit.
But there’s some history behind this wisecrack. A witch’s tit (or witch’s teat, to use the older spelling) supposedly left a marking that witch hunters and courts would look for on the body of an accused person. Supposedly, witches would suckle their familiars, and sometimes the Devil himself, from this “unholy” body part. To find these marks, as well as insensitive spots on the skin called devil’s marks–caused by the Devil’s claws or teeth–the suspects were stripped, shaven, then closely examined for any blemishes, moles, or even scars that could be labeled as diabolical. To find marks invisible to the eye, the examiner would poke the victim inch by inch with a blunt needle (called a bodkin) until they found a spot that didn’t feel pain or bled. Discovery of these marks or spots–one supposes they would be considered cold since they were a sign of communion with the Devil–would be “proof” of the person’s dealings with Scratch, so they would be shown in full court before the execution”.

Cold weather can cause problems with your health if you are not prepared,
especially the Kidneys and that can lead to back pain, stiffness and host
unwanted symptoms.
Although I now live in the Sun Belt, I was brought up in the northern
part of the USA and lived in the mountains of Colorado for years.

Winter is the season that you need to protect your kidneys.
In China the winters were long and cold, so they developed a system to
build energy, tonify the body and to nourish the internal organs to stay
healthy and strong. Qigong, diet and tonics play a major
part in nourishing the bodies immune system.

This is one of my favorites to keep your body warm and give you a
tremendous amount of energy on those cold days.

Dr. Wu’s tonifying Lamb Stew

Here’s what you will need.

I always buy organic veggies and when you get the lamb,
make sure that it is grass fed with no hormones or antibiotics.

2 lbs meat (I prefer lamb)
1 head garlic
1 kohlrabi cubed
Rosemary fresh
Burdock root (is high in minerals)
Lotus root
1-cup carrots sliced
2 red potatoes
2 turnips’s cubed
2 cups fresh okra
2 cups Shou wu chih
Brags ¼ cup
2 tsp olive oil.
Sea salt to taste
½ gal. of pure water

Cooking instructions

Brown meat with ½ of garlic
Add water about ½ gallons.
Cook until meat is nearly done
It can take 1- 2 hrs to cook.
Cook with a sprig of fresh
Organic Rosemary
Add Burdock sliced thin, it
takes the longest to cook
Add Turnip and kohlrabi
they cook at about the same
time
Add potatoes & lotus root
2 cups Shou wu chih
Add the other ½ of the garlic
Prepare okra cut ½
Add at end after off the fire
Add brags at end, sea salt
cayenne and olive oil

If you’re not a meat eater -substitute the meat with more root veggies.

As for the best internal exercises, I focus on the grounding and
rooting practices and of course the kidney exercises.
Go through the Recharging Qi Gong book you’ll find plenty
of them to build your Qi and keep you warm all winter.

It’s extremely important to keep your low back warm during the
winter months.
The new program on Back Pain is a must if you have back problems. This works!

Is Your Medicine Killing You?

June 25th, 2010

W

S*T*O*P*!
Before you take any medicine, herb, homeopathic or vitamin
You can Energize it to give you the maximum healing benefit.
This can increase your healing process by at least ten fold.
How many times have you said or heard this?
This medicine is killing me.
I hate taking this stuff;
I think this is making me sicker than I was in the first place.
If I don’t take my medicine I will die.

Well wake up!

What you are saying is just like a prayer, mantra
or a negative affirmation.
You could be putting a curse into your own body and mind
and don’t even know it.
That medicine is following your instructions to the tee,
as it goes down your tubes along with it is the negative
program that you are also swollen.

You can change all of that by just taking charge
and telling your medicine where to go and what to do.

In the Buddhist doctrines it is states the importance of
the purification of the body, speech, and mind.

Our speech to others, and especially what we are saying
to our self’s is a key to your health.

Back in the eighties, I was a personal trainer and consultant
for an internationally known subliminal tape company,
Midwest Research of Michigan, producers of self help
Programs and tapes.
I am always looking for techniques and products to assist
my clients and patients in making positive changes.
Most motivational speakers and books tell us that we create
our life with our thoughts, but the truth is, we rarely”choose”
our thoughts.
Most of what we call “thoughts” are really automatic reactions
coming out of our subconscious programming.
These programs, many of which are negative, make it difficult
for us to experience the health, happiness and success we desire
and deserve.

Once the subconscious accepts a message,
new programs are created and our conscious mind learns
new responses, thoughts and behaviors as a result.
We literally talk ourselves into health or sickness mentally,
physically and emotionally.

Before you put it in your mouth imagine what you want the
medicine to do.
How do you want it to react in your body?
Give it a specific job or assignment…
Where does it need to go?
What do you want it to effect?
When do you want it to start working and for how long?

Visualize your internal healers and angles;
spirit guides what ever you believe will work as your
internal healer.

I imagine a pure white light surrounding me,
and as I gulp down the medicine,
I feel my body filling with this pure white light
moving through every pore of my body.

I then visualize the light going into every organ,
structure and muscle of my body and finally the
light shining and radiate out every pore in my skin.

I see light streaming out of my body in all directions
North, South , East , and West into the entire universe.
The energy of the medicine vibrates radiant health to all
parts of my body mind and spirit.

The most effective Blessing or Prayer will depend on your
spiritual background.

It can be as simple as- “I bless this medicine to go to the
Right organ or system to heal my body, speech and mind.”

Or a more traditional prayers or mantras that you know
or practice can be incredibly effective.

Another example “I have great faith in the healing power of my
medicine and will bring forth the blessings of The Heavenly Father
or Mother.

The medicine becomes so powerful that it can heal anything it meets.
It is so powerful that it instantly heals all disease, of the mind and body.

“Unless you change how you are, you will always have what you’ve got.”
Make some changes today for your good health

I wish you the best in your Health Wealth and Happiness

“I know I should be, but am not.”

November 24th, 2009

At last the wedding day has arrived for Ryan & Faye. Monsignor Doyle is about to give the wedding Mass.         The music is starting and heads are turning to see the stunning young bride. The exchange of wedding vows will happen in the next few minutes. I am at Saint Rose Catholic Church in Miami, Florida. It’s a blessing to be here to celebrate this holy event.

On my way to the church, I ran into Faye’s cousin. We met a few times over the years. He’s a martial artist, well trained and disciplined in his art and dedicated to his practice. I asked if he was doing any internal training and he said.

“I know I should be, but am not.”

Big mistake dude! I am around 30 years his senior and no kidding we look around the same age. I can tell you why. I don’t know him very well but I know he practices a hard form. I am sure he gets a buzz from it, feels lots of juice and surges of energy. Although he is geeked up for now it won’t last.                                                                     He’s way too yang and burning himself out without even consciously realizing it. That much yang energy is only OK when you’re young but if you don’t cultivate yin you’ll be old before your time.

All of the old masters practice an internalform Qi Gong, Nei Gong, or Shen Gong it maybe under another         name if Japanese, Korean or Philippinebut every form has some kind of internal practice.

Basically Yang is fire and Yin is water. If you continually build your yang energy you will dry up the yin, then you’re in big trouble. The organs get too much heat and they dry up and so do you. Your body loses flexibility, the tendons contract and your joints will start to ache your skin gets old and so do you. There not a day when some martial artist comes into my office and complains of pain.

Doc. “I did Karate or Kung-Fu for years and now everything hurts, can you help me”?

They never practiced any internal work and they always got as yang as they could taking hot yang formulas over training to stay geeked up and now they are paying for it.

Well guys and gals it’s not too late to recover and start feeding like you were young again.

When they come into the office I start them with a special diet, yin nourishing tonics and teaching them the secrets of internal work. Most centers don’t teach it to their students for a few reasons; either they don’t know it or they hold information back from the student to keep the edge for themselves.                                                                 The internal exercises like the Recharging Qi Gong ones are the opposite of external exercise.                         External exercises like kung-fu, karate, boxing and wrestling often deplete the body and the internal organs.  This causes premature aging illness and loss of Qi.                                                                                                            There is a saying that I heard many years ago. ‘If you train externally you must train internally, but if you train internally you don’t need to train externally”.

I created the Recharging Qi Gong program and teach the members of the Qi Gong Inner Circle an on-going program to keep them as young and powerful as possible. If you’re a martial artist, a weight lifter, swimmer, runner, boxer, dancer or just someone that’s wants to retain your youth and health join me and the members that are getting younger as they practice. www.RechargingQigong.com
